'Looking' is an original expressive figure drawing drawn from life. It captures the emotions of the sitter in an expressive gesture looking down as if into a pool.
The choice of using white charcoal was made to capture the light on the figure, looking for the light more than the shadows and this is a technique that I come back to frequently in my figure drawings.
The drawing is framed in a silver frame to compliment the tblue-oned charcoal paper.
