'Journey' was painted from imagination based on my story of coming to the United States to work in tech and finding painting. I saw a light at the end of the tunnel as I found the joy of painting, which helped me to heal from a severe burnout. The winding watery path is a metaphor for life but the painting is also rooted in my memories of Seattle's beautiful water and mountains, and Greenlake's lakeside trails where we ended up.
Everyone has their own life journey and I enjoy hearing what memories are triggered when viewers look at this painting.
