About the Event
Chatwin Arts is pleased to present a group show that celebrates humanity's deep and longstanding connection to dogs and cats. Our obsession with pets may seem modern, but artists have been inspired by their four-legged companions for thousands of years. This show features contemporary paintings, drawings, and photographs featuring either of humanity’s two constant companions: dogs and cats.
This exhibition has a bit of everything, ranging in both style and substance, from heartfelt paeans to satirical advertising slogans. Included are collaged dog and cat heads on enigmatic figures; silhouetted cat outlines over landscaped backgrounds; sumi ink cat drawings; humorous street photos; and many others.
Anyone who has ever loved a dog or cat will spot a familiar face (or tail) in this exhibition!
